We photograph weddings the way they actually happen — the long slow morning, the ceremony, and the part of the night when nobody is watching the camera any more.
In practice that means arriving before you need us and staying past the point most photographers start packing up. It means photographing your family the way you would want them remembered, not just the two of you. And it means direction when you want it and none when you don’t, because the pictures people keep are usually the ones nobody posed for.
The Studio
White Daisy Weddings is a documentary-first studio. We don’t build a shot list and move you through it — we watch for the moments that are already happening and stay close enough to catch them. Posed portraits still happen, because you should have a handful of frames where you’re looking straight at the camera, but they’re woven into the day rather than pulled out of it as a separate event.
“Quiet luxury, to us, means the photography never becomes the loudest thing in the room.”
No flash going off through your speeches, no directing your guests, no stopping the room to get a picture. We work close and we work quietly, and the editing style follows the same idea: honest light, true skin tones, nothing over-processed.
A Day, In Practice
We arrive early.
Before hair and makeup usually wraps, so the getting-ready hour is covered without anyone waiting on us.
We photograph the whole family.
Not just the couple — parents, grandparents, the friend who flew in. The people you’ll want to see in twenty years.
We stay late.
Past the first dance, past the point most contracts end, into the part of the night when everyone stops performing for the camera.
We adjust when the day does.
Weather changes, timelines slip, someone’s running late — the plan bends, the coverage doesn’t stop.
Every Event, One Run
A large share of the weddings we shoot aren’t a single ceremony — they’re a run of events across several days: a welcome dinner, a milni or sangeet, the ceremony itself, a reception the next night. We treat that as the normal shape of a wedding, not an exception that costs extra to explain. Coverage is planned around the whole week, weighted to whichever events matter most to your family, with a second photographer brought in wherever the schedule genuinely needs one.
Lower Mainland & Beyond
We’re based in the Lower Mainland and photograph weddings across Vancouver, Surrey, Langley, and Burnaby, plus the rest of British Columbia. We also travel for weddings and elopements worth traveling for — mountains, coastline, wherever the day is happening.
Getting Started
Reach out with your date, venue, and the general shape of your week.
We confirm availability and talk through timeline, coverage length, and who needs to be photographed.
We send a coverage plan built around your actual day, not a template.
At a Glance
|
Single Ceremony Getting ready through the end of the night, one location or a short drive between two. |
Multi-Day / Multi-Event Every event across the week, weighted to what matters most, second photographer where needed. |
Elopement / Small Shorter coverage, same documentary approach, same attention to the people who came. |
Most of what shapes the photographs isn’t the camera, it’s how the day is approached. We’d rather stand back and let a real moment happen than call out a pose that photographs well but feels like nothing. Family portraits get the same care as the couple’s — the people in your life who took a flight or a day off work deserve more than a rushed lineup. And when something changes on the day, because something always does, we adjust the plan instead of forcing the schedule to hold.
Questions
Yes — this is a large part of what we do. Multi-day and multi-event weddings are covered as a full run, with coverage weighted to the events that matter most to your family.
Yes. We regularly shoot in Langley, Burnaby, and further across BC, and we travel out of province for the right wedding.
Honest light and true color. We don’t chase trends in editing — the goal is photographs that still look right in ten years, not ones that look like this year.
Tell us your date, your venue, and the shape of your week through our inquiry page — we reply personally to every note.
Yes — smaller, quieter weddings are a regular part of what we shoot, with the same documentary approach and the same care.
